DOCTOR MUSIC FESTIVAL is not a children’s. However, families with children are welcome and we will do everything we can to make sure they have the best possible time at the festival and that all your little one’s needs are met. In order to do so, we kindly ask you to pay special attention to our policy for under-18s.
15.1 POLICY FOR UNDER-18s IN THE FESTIVAL ARENA:
Unique access identification will be provided by the festival for each age-range and will grant or prohibit access to certain shows or activities at the festival which are not deemed appropriate for their age (such as electronic music evening zones).
Anyone who is 18 or over on the day the festival begins will be able to access the festival site with their corresponding festival ticket and valid form of photo ID (ID card/Passport) upon obtaining and wearing their festival wristband.
Under-18s will not be able to purchase alcohol or any other non-authorised products for under-18s. Current legislation explicitly prohibits sale of such products to under-18s. As such, any minors attending the festival will be provided with a special wristband that is clearly distinguishable from other wristbands to allow staff at all retail points to easily identify them and treat accordingly. Under-18s will not be permitted access to the evening electronic music spaces or any other shows and activities that the festival organisers deem inappropriate.
Any attendees between the age of 16 and 18 on the day the festival begins will be given access to the festival providing they show their corresponding festival ticket and are accompanied by:
a. A parent or legal guardian; or
b. A responsible adult over 25, who can present a letter of authorisation signed by the parent or legal guardian for said accompanying adult, supporting the signature with a certified copy of their ID card or Passport.
Any attendees between the ages of 7 and 16 on the day the festival begins will be given access to the festival providing they show their corresponding festival ticket and are accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
Accompanying adults must additionally sign an entry form assuming responsibility for the minor whilst they are within the festival grounds, in addition to presenting their own valid festival ticket.
Whilst minors are inside the festival grounds, the accompanying adult will assume responsibility for any actions accompanied minors may take. For this reason, it is absolutely imperative that they present the following valid identification at the festival entrance: ID card or family book, passport of both the attending adult and minor or legal documents certifying their parent-child relationship or responsibility for the minor. Accompanying adults are obligated to accompany all minors from the festival grounds to their accommodation.
Identification for all minors must include a contact number of at least one accompanying adult who is obliged to provide such information. If for any reason the adult refuses to provide such information, the minor’s festival ticket will become automatically void without the right to refund. In this way, any parent, legal guardian or accompanying adult attending with a minor of this age range agrees to accompany said minor at all times whilst inside the festival grounds.
Any children under the age of 14 must leave the festival arena by 11pm, and the accompanying adult is responsible for accompanying them at that time to their accommodation or family campsite. Anyone under the age of 14 found inside the festival arena after 11pm will be considered a serious infringement of festival regulations and the festival will reserve the right in its sole discretion to void the festival tickets of both the minor and accompanying adult. Consequently, both adult and minor must proceed to leave the festival grounds and will lose all entry rights conferred to them by their tickets, without the right to refund.
Any children under the age of 7 do not need a festival ticket to access the festival, as they will not be permitted to access the festival arena at any time (with or without an accompanying parent or adult). The festival will offer a children’s area (see Point 15.3) during the daytime, which will be available for small children who must always be accompanied by a parent or accompanying adult. Any children between the age of 2 and 7 on the day the festival begins will need to wear the specified visible identification (provided by the festival and subject to additional charges). Such identification must include the contact number of their parent or guardian who will be obligated to provide such information. If for any reason the adult refuses to provide this information, the minor’s festival ticket will become automatically void for all zones of the festival. In this way, the adult responsible for this child agrees to accompany said minor at all times within the festival grounds.
15.2. POLICY FOR UNDER 18s IN THE CAMPING ZONES:
The over-18s camping zone (different types of camping, glamping and caravan parking areas) will not allow overnight stays or occasional access to minors.
There will be specified zones allocated to families or groups attending with under-18s. These zones will be the only areas where minors are permitted to stay overnight, and all under-18s in these areas must be accompanied at all times by an adult (as defined in point 15.1). Under-18s will only be permitted to stay overnight in these zones which are clearly separated from the over-18 areas. This means that whilst minors will be granted access to the family camping zones, they will not be permitted to enter the rest of the general camping zones (including during the day).
These camping zones, for families or groups attending with under-18s will also be considered “quiet zones”, meaning that any music or noise between 11pm and 10am is strictly prohibited. The festival organisation reserves the right to expel any adult who is deemed to be behaving inappropriately (or who is not taking adequate care of any minor under their responsibility behaving inappropriately), in which case, any minors they are accompanying must also abandon the festival grounds.
15.3. POLICY FOR UNDER 18s IN THE CHILDREN’S ZONE
The festival will offer a children’s zone for children under the age 7 where they can take part in fun and artistic activities designed for children of their age during the daytime. However, this area is not a nursery and all children should be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times. Access to this area is free for anyone over 18 years of age wearing the festival wristband and who enters as an accompanying adult for a child of under 7 years of age (who must also show a valid form of identification as detailed in point 15.1).
Children between the ages of 2 and 7 must acquire unique access identification for this area which will go on sale shortly.
Children under the age of 2 can access this area without the need for identification, providing they are accompanied by a parent or legal guardian (accompany adult must be wearing a valid festival wristband).
Any adults who are not accompanied by a child under 7 years of age will not be granted access to this area.
This area will be reserved for children’s activities only and will not provide any other type of activities or entertainment. In this way, minors between the age of 7 and 18 will be permitted in the children’s zone (at no extra charge) providing they are wearing a valid festival wristband and are accompanied by a parent or responsible adult who is accompanying a child under 7 years of age.
15.4. ID DOCUMENTS FOR UNDER-18s
Ticket holders under the age of 18 must carry their ID or Passport at all times in case it is required by festival staff to verify their age. Anyone visiting from abroad must carry the required documents from their home country.
15.5. FAILURE TO COMPLY
Failure to comply with the above-mentioned regulations will result in instant expulsion from the festival and the ticket holder will lose all rights conferred to them by their ticket as well as giving up the right to a refund for the price of the ticket of the minor or responsible adult.
