How to get there

As soon as you enter the Valls d'Àneu valley you will realise what a unique music experience and gorgeous natural surroundings Doctor Music Festival offers.
 
Below is a list of the different transport methods you can take to get to DMF:

BY CAR

It's a good idea to share a car if possible, as it will be cheaper and will help to reduce pollution. It's important to remember that whilst the roads are in good condition, they are not designed to receive large amounts of traffic. Please drive carefully.

There are 4 possible options with similar mileage and journey times.

a) The fastest option.
• Follow Motorway A2 towards Lleida all the way to Tàrrega (exit 507)
• Link up with the C-74, passing through Agramunt, until you reach Artesa de Segre. Continue on the C-74 towards Tremp.
• From Tremp, continue on the C-13 towards Esterri d'Àneu (Escalarre), passing through Sort

b) The most comfortable (less winding roads)
• Follow Motorway A2 towards Lleida, passing through Tàrrega, until you reach Balaguer (exit 504)
• Link up with the C-12, passing through Ager and follow the road until you connect up with the C-13, continuing towards Tremp
• From Tremp, follow the C-13 towards Esterri d’Àneu (Escalarre) passing through Sort

c) Another good route
• Exit Barcelona and head towards Terrassa, taking the C-58 or C-16 (Vallvidrera Tunnels)
• Link up with the C-16 and follow the road towards Manresa
• Drive past Manresa and take the C-25 towards Calaf
• At Calaf, take the C-1412a, towards Pons
• At Pons, take the C-1412b towards Tremp, passing through Folquer
• From Tremp, follow the C-13 towards Esterri d’Àneu (Escalarre) passing through Sort

d) AThe shortest route but not the fastest (ideal route if you don’t mind driving 45 km through a mountain pass with tight windy roads).
• Exit Barcelona and head towards Terrassa, taking the C-58 or C-16 (Vallvidrera Tunnels)
• Link up with the C-16 towards Manresa and Berga
• Follow the road towards Seu d’Urgell until you connect up with the N-260 and follow this road until Adrall.
• At Adrall, continue along the N-260 and take the right turn towards Sort.
• At Sort, follow the C-13 towards Esterri d’Àneu (Escalarre).

• Exit Lleida via the C-12 towards Balaguer and continue on the C-12 all the way to Tremp, passing by Àger
• From Tremp, follow the C-13 towards Esterri d’Àneu (Escalarre)

• Take the A-27 to Masmolets and from there, take the N-240 and then the C-14 all the way to Tàrrega
• At Tàrrega you can choose one of two options: a) and b) from the “From Barcelona” directions section

• Take the A-2 towards Barcelona until you reach the turning for the C-25 towards Vic
• After Vic, take the C-16 towards Berga until you link up with the N-260 and follow the road all the way to Adrall
• At Adrall follow the N-260 and take the right hand turning towards Sort
• At Sort, continue on the C-13 towards Esterri d’Àneu (Escalarre)

There are 2 possible options with similar mileage and journey times

a) Via Motorway
• Take the AP-2 towards Lleida
• Follow the directions in the “From Lleida” section

b) Via National Highway
• Take the E-7 to Huesca
• At Huesca, take the A-22 and link up with the N-123, following the road all the way to Tremp
• At Tremp, continue on the C-13 until Esterri d’Àneu (Escalarre)

• Drive to Zaragoza and there you can choose between two options: a) and b) from the ‘From Zaragoza’ directions section

• Drive to Tarragona and follow the directions in the ‘From Tarragona’ section

• Take the N-116 towards Prades, Villefranche-de-Conflent and Puigcerdà (Spain)
• At Puigcerdà, link up with the N-260 towards La Seu d’Urgell and follow the same road towards Sort, passing through Adrall and El Port del Cantó
• From Sort take the C-13 towards Esterri d’Àneu (Escalarre)

• Take the Motorway A-64 towards Tarbes, take exit 17
• Take the A 645 towards Luchon and Spain and follow the road until you link up with the N-125 following the road towards Viella, Lleida. Continue until the border with Spain and link up with the N-230 towards Viella
• At Viella, link up with the C-28 towards Vaqueira and Esterri d’Àneu (Escalarre)

By Train

The train service does not reach the festival. It should be combined with the public bus service from La Pobla de Segur to Escalarre.
 
RENFE train service: Take the AVE/Avant train service to Lleida Pirineus, change trains to the RL2 towards La Pobla de Segur. Link up with the shuttle bus service.

By Bus

There are regular bus services from Barcelona and Lleida. We are also working to offer additional special bus services to link up the nearby towns with Escalarre during the festival. We will provide more information on these special bus services as soon as they have been confirmed and tickets are available.

By Plane

The nearest airports with regular and low-cost flights are Barcelona, Reus, Girona, Zaragoza and Toulouse.
