Barely anything has changed in the valley since we were last there.
Our Commitment: When the festival is over, we will leave the valley as it was before we arrived…. and even a little better than we found it.
Our ecological principles mean that we will apply a zero waste policy and give priority to local suppliers.
The festival will be an ecological “Shangri-La” built on the principles of Food Sovereignty, respecting what we eat and who produces it.
In doing so, we want to help create a rich sustainability in El Pallars.
This valley is the home where we were born. We want it to remain a beautiful and prosperous place for its inhabitants and everyone who visits it.
Since its birth in 1996, the DMF has set out to break musical, cultural and technological moulds.
Some of those artists and DJs, who were then promising new stars, have become major artists.
The first dance tent at a festival in Spain was built in the meadow of Escalarre in 1996.
Also, the first internet enabled tent arrived there in that same year, thanks to an unprecedented technical effort.
So, if you want to know what contemporary music and culture will be like in the 2020s, join the Doctor Music Festival in 2019.
At DMF, you will be surrounded by Mountains inhabited by bears, wood grouse, deer and bearded vultures. Don’t worry, they also use ear plugs, like our cow!
You will see legendary artists and discover future icons.
You will dance endlessly – or relax, that’s up to you – under a carpet of stars that can almost be touched.
You will live three days and four nights in a landscape so perfect, it feels out of this world.
Here, you can leave behind everyday noise, the overcrowded city and negative vibes.
And yes, it is harder to get to the DMF than to other festivals.
But only those overflowing with creative energy, friendship, love for music and a desire to enjoy life and nature come here.
